5 killed in truck-ambulance collision in Tangail Photo: Star Star Digital Report Star Digital Report Five people were killed and five were injured in a collision between a truck and an ambulance carrying a cancer patient in Tangail this morning. The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately, reports our Tangail correspondent. The ambulance, which was carrying a cancer patient and relatives, was heading for a northern district from Dhaka while the fish-laden truck was coming from the opposite direction. Md Shafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station, told The Daily Star that the accident occurred on Bangabandhu Bridge east link road at Hatia of Kalihati upazila around 7:30am.
