+ July 06, 2021 LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – The Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) has arrested some 5,318 individuals in different anti-drug operations from 2016 to July 1 this year.
In an interview on Monday, PPPO information officer Maj, Arturo Melchor Jr. said they have conducted over 4,957 anti-drug operations during the period.
“We have confiscated 4,885 grams of shabu and 29,727 grams of dried marijuana in the span of the given period,” he said.
Melchor added some 20,574 were listed as drug surrenderers in the entire province since President Rodrigo Duterte assumed the presidency.
Among the latest operation of the PPPO Drug Enforcement Unit was on June 5 in Dagupan City, where two high-value targets were arrested and PHP102,000 worth of suspected shabu confiscated in a buy-bust operation.

DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan The Philippine National Police (PNP) is set to erect a new camp to specifically to cater for the Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Group (EOD-K9) of the Philippine National Police in a donated lot Barangay Capantolan, Sual town.
The one-hectare lot was donated by homegrown Police Brigadier General Harris Fama, Deputy Director of the PNP Directorate for Police Community Relations.
Fama is an alumnus of the Dagupan City National High School Batch 1983. He is also a resident of Dagupan City.
On Wednesday, June 30, Fama, as the donor, is set to sign the deed with PNP Chief Guillerimo Eleazar, at the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPO).

VILLASIS, Pangasinan (PNA) – Almost 1,000 chickens were stolen from a poultry farm in Barangay La Paz here Sunday and five former employees are persons of interest in the theft case.
In an interview Monday, Pangasinan Police Provincial Office information officer Police Major Arturo Melchor II said the farm reported that almost 1,000 chickens were missing after it was discovered that a gate in one of the chicken housings was opened. “The chickens’ value amounted to more or less than P500,000,” he said.
Melchor said farm workers also saw scattered feathers at the back portion of the housing, which could be the exit route of the culprits.
