Campo Fire in Calaveras County
Campo Seco, CA Officials have gained 100-percent containment on the first major vegetation of the year in the CAL Fire Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit.
The Campo Fire ignited on April 29 in the 5100 block of Buckboard Lane in the Campo Seco area of Calaveras County. It was earlier determined to be caused by an escaped debris burn. The fire forced the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office to initially issue an evacuation order for communities near the fire.
CAL Fire reports that the blaze is now fully contained at 160 acres. Crews were on the scene overnight patrolling the area and looking for any hotspots within the containment lines.

The Campo Fire in Calaveras County has reached 90% containment with no growth as of Monday morning, according to Cal Fire Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit.
This update comes even as windy conditions and warm temperatures continue into Monday.
Cal Fire said in their latest update on Facebook that firefighters will continue working throughout the day to achieve full containment.
The fire started in the area of Buckboard Lane and Campo Seco Road in Calaveras County on the afternoon of Thursday, April 29, growing to 150 acres by the end of the day. It grew 10 more acres by Friday morning and has not grown since then. There are currently no evacuation orders.

Cal Fire said that the containment of the Campo Fire in Calaveras County has increased to 75% on Sunday morning and hasn t grown past 160 acres since Friday.
Fire officials said in a Facebook post that they will continue to work towards full containment throughout the day on Sunday.
