Incumbent Brian Campbell is running unopposed for 1st Ward Alderman. In the 6th Ward, incumbent Alderwoman Stephanie Elliott is running unopposed. Contested races include: 2nd Ward Incumbent Alderwoman Carolyn MacAfee is challenged by Steve Potter for 2nd Ward Alderman. MacAfee is a retired computer programmer from Owens Illinois Mold Shop who also served as a pricing clerk for Boeing and was the store manager for the Casual Corner clothing store. She is a high school graduate and completed two years at Lewis and Clark Community College.

Ford announces bid for Alton city council seat The Telegraph FacebookTwitterEmail ALTON Patty Ford on Tuesday officially announced her campaign as an alderman for Alton’s 7th Ward. Ford and Nate Keener are vying April 6 to succeed retiring Alton Alderman David Boulds in the 7th Ward. A lifelong resident of Alton, Ford graduated from Alton High School in 1973 and attended Lewis & Clark Community College. She has 20 years of experience in finance with area financial institutions, including Godfrey State Bank, the Bank of Alton, Wedge Bank and Liberty Bank. She has spent the last 25 years serving the Alton school district during which she worked with children with special needs and now is secretary for Lovejoy Elementary School.

The 7 th Ward will not have an incumbent on the ballot, as current Alderman David Boulds is not seeking another term.
