We’re running out of things to say about this bloke . but his progression from being beaten in a Toowoomba maiden three months ago, to favourite in two of Australia’s most famous handicaps is nothing short of unbelievable. There was even a Group One winner 12 lengths behind him today in the form of Mirage Dancer. Despite facing his stiffest test, Incentivise treated his rivals with the same disdain we’ve seen throughout his six-race winning streak. Tregea retains a share of the horse through his Windermere Stud, but he’ll now head south to trainer Peter Moody who will prepare him for the C

A competitive card at Rosehill on Saturday where Polly Grey produced the highlight taking out the Listed Lord Mayors Cup.
The six-year-old mare is set to head to the Gold Coast where she will be sold on Tuesday at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale but should Saturday’s contest have been her swansong, she ended her career adding another $76,500 to her career earnings.
There were a couple of outstanding performances on Saturday – Charleise, Rebel Rama and Kirwan’s Lane while two runners-up were also excellent in defeat – Maranoa and Ellsberg.
The track was rated a soft (5) surface throughout the day and it appeared favourable to race near the speed and save ground, back towards the inside coming into the straight.

The Group 2 Villiers Stakes trophy stayed with Mark Newnham after the local conditioner combined with Rachel King for successive wins in the summer feature mile.
Greysful Glamour was too quick for them in controlling the race from start to finish to hold out the Godolphin duo Best Of Days and Criaderas and give Newnham and King another win after being successful with Quackerjack in 2019.
The good track was played very fast with Happy Clapper’s record in the Group 2 Villiers eclipsed while two horses went close to bettering Yes Yes Yes’ 1200m track record.
The majority of winners came from on speed but overall, it was a great day of racing with some outstanding performances.
