Punters post-race: Tattersall s Tiara day in review

Punters post-race: Tatt s Tiara day in review by Luke Sheehan, Nick Hluchaniuk & David Hocking Tofane made it back-to-back G1 wins Image: Racing Queensland Tatt s Tiara day saw Tofane take out the feature race, Incentivise sew up the Star Performer with another demolition job, and an imbecile invade the track at Newcastle.  Star Performer Incentivise (Eagle Farm R6) We’re running out of things to say about this bloke . but his progression from being beaten in a Toowoomba maiden three months ago, to favourite in two of Australia’s most famous handicaps is nothing short of unbelievable. Post-meeting form review analysis: Rosehill, May 22

Comments A competitive card at Rosehill on Saturday where Polly Grey produced the highlight taking out the Listed Lord Mayors Cup. The six-year-old mare is set to head to the Gold Coast where she will be sold on Tuesday at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale but should Saturday’s contest have been her swansong, she ended her career adding another $76,500 to her career earnings. There were a couple of outstanding performances on Saturday – Charleise, Rebel Rama and Kirwan’s Lane while two runners-up were also excellent in defeat – Maranoa and Ellsberg. The track was rated a soft (5) surface throughout the day and it appeared favourable to race near the speed and save ground, back towards the inside coming into the straight.
