L-R Track and Field End SAC Championship

The Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s and Women’s Track and Field teams wrapped up competition at South Atlantic Conference Outdoor championships Saturday.
The women finished 3rd in the overall standings behind Queens and Wingate. On the women’s side, Kennedy Conner finished 5th in the Heptathlon with 2204 points and scores of: 100m hurdles- 15.81, high jump- 1.48m, shot put-6.72m, 200m dash-29.07. Bekki Roche then placed 2nd in hammer throw with a mark of 49.20m. Lacey Triplett placed 3rd in javelin with a hurl of 35.90m. Kylie Dahlberg would add to the momentum placing 1st in the 1500m run with a time of 4:39.93. Leticia Venancio would continue the run placing 7th in 100m hurdles with a 15.36. Taylor Meadows would win the 800m race with a time of 2:21.54. Dahlberg would also add a 4th place finish in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 11:12.56. Caroline Hilliard then wrapped things up in 10000m race with a 7th place finish of 37:28.77. Roche would also place 5th in shot put with a 12.33m. Triplett also added a strong performance in pole vault finishing 2nd with a final jump of 3.07m.
