LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The convenience of mobile devices continues to open people and businesses up to cyber attacks.
This is something seen on a large scale recently with the ransomware attack of Colonial Pipeline, the nation’s largest gas line distributor. That left the pipeline disabled for days.
But ransomware attacks like that are not uncommon. It is something that happens to smaller entities all the time.

Active shooter training drill this week in Somersworth
SOMERSWORTH - The Somersworth Police Department will be conducting active shooter training exercises this week along High Street.
On Wednesday and Thursday, April 28 and 29, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. the department will be at the Tri-City Christian Academy campus located at 150 West High St. to conduct the training. Resource officers will receive training about how to respond to active shooter threats, in how to protect the school or public venue during active threats, the tactical aspects of an active shooter, casualty care, and the overall response to an active shooter threat, Somersworth Police Capt. Tim McLin said.
