KNOXVILLE, Tenn
UPDATE 2:30 PM MONDAY: Authorities have taken Anthony Jerome Hamilton Jr. into custody, the Knox County Sheriff s Office announced at 2:30 p.m. Monday.
He d been sought for several hours in the Fountain City area after fleeing as police moved in to arrest him, according to the Sheriff s Office.
Hamilton was detained at Shannondale Road and Tazewell Pike, northeast of where he originally was sought, according to KCSO spokeswoman Kimberly Glenn.
More charges are expected, according to Glenn.

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Local groups in the Fountain City are coming together to promote peace and fight against violence in the community.
It’s all about changing the narrative of the community, CEO of the Men of Valor Excellence Group Desi Morgan says.
“The narrative is we’re trying to get these kids other resources instead of going out to the streets to the gangs and to the drugs and to the violence - just give them great resources that can reach out to these people with these organizations,” said Desi Morgan, CEO of M.O.V.E.

Cochrane Fountain City High School student named U.S. Presidential Scholar

FOUNTAIN CITY, Wis. (WKBT) A senior at Cochrane Fountain City High School has been named a U.S. Presidential Scholar by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
Amara Lynn Livingston of Fountain City is a U.S. Presidential Scholar in Career and Technical Education. She is one of three Wisconsin seniors honored and 161 high school seniors across the U.S. to join the 57th class of U.S. Presidential Scholars.
The list was announced Thursday by Dr. Miguel Cardona, the U.S. Secretary of Education.
