Just a lil cold, Also as I had performed among a huge crowd, so tested just to be sure, moreover didn t at all wanted to infect anybody. I am fine as of now. Felling a lil weak though, with a mild headache since morning. All those who have met me in the last 6-7 days please get yourself tested. Popular Assamese singer Bhitali Das passed away here on Wednesday.

GUWAHATI: Popular Assamese singer Bhitali Das passed away here on Wednesday. She was 41 years old. She was recently infected with the Coronavirus and was admitted to the Kalapahar COVID Hospital on April 16.
However, before she breathed her last, she was tested COVID-19 negative.
State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that she was suffering from diabetes. Her last performance was at the Judges Field during a Bihu programme organized by the All Guwahati Students Union on April 14.
The singer s death has been condoled by the artiste fraternity of the State along with different politicians and organizations. GUWAHATI: In major relief for health officials of the state, none of the 300 security personnel and members of the march-past groups, who will be taking part in Tuesday’s Republic Day parade, have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
The parade will be taking place at Khanapara Veterinary College playground, where Assam governor Jagdish Mukhi will be hoisting the tricolour.
Kamrup Metropolitan’s joint director of health services, Ganesh Saikia, said mandatory Covid-19 testing was done among the troops from Assam Police, Veerangana, NCC cadets and from different paramilitary forces who will present at the function. “No positive case has been detected so far. Covid protocols will be enforced strictly and everyone has to wear masks and maintain social distancing norms,” Saikia added.
