As per the statement from the DRI, the accused were produced before a magistrate s court in
Mumbai on Thursday after which they were sent for
Judicial Custody till February 17.
The accused, who are importers and traders of Chinese goods, used to get fake invoices that undervalued the imported goods from their broker in China.
They have been identified as Narsi Ram Chaudhary, Kailash Kumar Mali, Jasa Ram, Suresh Mali, Malaram Bishnoi and Vijay.

Bail for freelance journalist Mandeep Punia arrested at Singhu border
New Delhi: A Delhi court granted bail Tuesday to freelance journalist Mandeep Punia. He was arrested by Delhi Police from the farmers’ protest site at Singhu border. Police had said that Mandeep Punia had assaulted their personnel and had behaved badly.
The complainant, victims and witnesses were police personnel only. ‘Hence, there is no possibility that accused/ applicant can able to influence any of the police officials’, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Satvir Singh Lamba said while granting the bail.
Punia was arrested by police Sunday in an FIR registered under various sections including 186 (Obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions), 353 (Assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) and 332 (Voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty) of IPC.
