A bunch of industrial investments in diverse sectors were cleared at the 56th State High Level Clearance Committee meet
Grasim Industries, JSW Techno and Shree Cement are some of the companies which have received clearances for their projects from the Karnataka government on Wednesday.
The State government cleared investment proposals worth ₹13,487.11 crore at the state’s 56th State High Level Clearance Committee (SHLCC) meeting, held under the leadership of Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa. The proposals comprised nine new projects and one additional investment proposal, which has a potential to create employment for 6,256 people.

The State government on Wednesday approved nine projects with a total investment of ₹13,487 crore.
The approval came at the State High-Level Clearance Committee chaired by Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa here on Wednesday. The investments are expected to generate employment opportunities to 6,256 people.
A release said that of the total investment proposal cleared on Wednesday, ₹13,174 crore pertains to fresh investments while ₹312 crore investment comes as additional investment in Vijayapura-based Mylar Sugar.

The CM added, “With the government encouraging the use of EVs, these battery-swapping units, besides cutting down charging time, will also help reduce the weight of vehicles, increase mileage, and make it possible to drive for longer hours.”
A fleet of Piaggio Ape E-City three-wheelers run by MetroRide will begin using the new facility. “Our commitment is to increase adoption of EVs in the shared mobility sector, in Bengaluru, by making refuelling faster, cheaper, more accessible and convenient,” Chetan Maini, co-founder, and vice-chairman, Sun Mobility said.
He added that through the partnership with other stakeholders, the firm aims to develop a similar supporting ecosystem by opening 100 swap points by the end of next year which can power and support all forms of shared mobility in the city, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers and last-mile delivery trucks.
