Dulux Colour Awards 2021 invites architects, interior designers, specifiers and students from Australasia to share work that celebrates the creative and innovative use of colour in projects.
Dulux Colour Awards is Australia and New Zealand’s premier showcase of inspirational colour application in residential, public and commercial projects across interior and exterior spaces.
Colour enthusiasts across Australia and New Zealand are invited to submit work showcasing masterful use of colour across six categories spanning interior and exterior residential, public and commercial spaces.
All colours and shades will be considered from the Dulux range, including black and white. The rationale behind the choice and use of colour are also key determining factors in the judging process by a panel of design professionals.

The 2021 Dulux Colour Awards invites design professionals to enter their projects that celebrate sophisticated and masterful use of colour across commercial, public and residential spaces.
Design professionals can showcase their cutting-edge use of colour in built spaces, says Andrea Lucena-Orr, Dulux colour planning & communications manager about the awards.
“It is evident that architects and designers are increasingly using colour as an integral design tool to provide a space meaning – in both its functional and environmental contexts.
“Dulux is eager to see their creative employment of colour across a vast breadth of architectural genres with this year’s submissions.”
Various colours from Dulux Powder Coatings were extensively used for the facade of the Oran Park High School in Sydney, producing a dynamic design outcome.
Located in the growing western Sydney suburb of Oran Park, the large purpose-built public high school designed by Perumal Pedavoli Architects and completed in December 2019, was a finalist in the 2020 Dulux Colour Awards in the Commercial and Multi Residential Exterior category.
An articulated upper façade on the school buildings provides a dynamic and sculptural appearance, which has been emphasised using an extensive palette of Dulux colours that are graduated along the façade within angled window reveals. The result is a playful source of movement and a nod to the area’s racing past.
