Self-isolation orders are now in effect in Manitoba, requiring those entering into the province to quarantine for 14 days unless given an exemption.

Before the rules went into effect on 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, the province released the full text of them and outlined exactly who is exempt.
All exemptions are conditional on the persons named not showing any symptoms of COVID-19.
Those who are providing essential services like health-care providers, police officers, emergency services personnel, corrections officers, members of the military, social service workers, elected officials and their staff are all exempt.
WINNIPEG Health officials announced five new deaths linked to COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the death toll to 809. Four of the deaths are from the Winnipeg area, including a man in his 70s, a man in his 80s, a woman in her 80s from the Seven Oaks General Hospital 5U1-3 outbreak, and a man in his 90s connected to the outbreak at Fred Douglas Lodge. The other death was a woman in her 90s from the Prairie Mountain Health Region who was part of the Fairview Personal Care Home outbreak. Officials also said there are 94 new cases, bringing the total to 28,902 since the start of the pandemic.

Wednesday’s COVID-19 numbers
The COVID-19 update from the province on Friday saw six additional deaths listed, including a woman in her 90s in the Prairie Mountain Health region from the McCreary/Alonsa Health Centre.
The province reported 154 new cases, as follows: 18 cases in the Interlake–Eastern health region; 70 cases in the Northern health region; eight in the Prairie Mountain Health region; 10 cases in the Southern Health–Santé Sud health region; and 40 cases in the Winnipeg health region.
One case was removed because of a data correction, making the net increase 153 cases.
The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate in Manitoba is 9.5 per cent, and 6.7 per cent in Winnipeg.
