Ranchi, Apr 20 (UNI) Welcoming the decision of the state government which declared a partial lockdown in Jharkhand JPCC Chief and Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon on Tuesday said that saving the lives and providing proper healthcare facilities is the priority of the government.
Addressing a press conference at the JPCC headquarters on Tuesday said that the party gives special thanks to the government for allowing Agriculture, industrial and mining related activities to continue in the state which will help the poor and daily money earners.
He said that once again the migrant workers are returning back to the state and it is the responsibility of the government and apart from providing healthcare to all, ensuring food to everyone is also the responsibility of the state government and if needed Didi Kitchen, Mukhyamantri Kitchen will be once again started.

RANCHI: In view of the surging COVID cases, all educational activities in Jharkhand have been suspended till further orders.
After a meeting with Health Minister Banna Gupta, Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon and Labour Minister Satyanand Bhokta, Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced that all schools, colleges, coaching centres and other educational activities will remain closed.
“To decrease the speed of infection and break the chain of COVID-19, we have taken some decision like all schools, colleges, coaching institutes, training institutes, along with Angawari centres will remain closed,” said the Chief Minister. In addition to that, all examinations to be held in Jharkhand, whether it is of primary, secondary or higher education level will also remain cancelled till further orders, he added.

Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], February 22 (ANI): A verbal spat ensued between the Congress leaders at the party headquarters here in the presence of the state party chief and Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon on Monday.
According to the party officials, the meeting was held to make the strategy under the chairmanship of Oraon to counter the central government against the fuel price hike.
During a meeting at the party headquarters, acting president of the party at the state level Rajesh Thakur and state spokesperson Alok Kumar Dubey got into a verbal spat. Later, the supporters of both leaders created ruckus inside the party s headquarter.

RANCHI: Raising the issue of lack of representation in the Jharkhand Cabinet, the Secretary General of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India (CBCI) Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas SFX has demanded the inclusion of a Christian minister in the Hemant Soren government.
“We are happy with the Hemant Soren government, but we believe that there should be at least one Christian minister in the Cabinet who must be truly representative of Christian society and understands our sentiments and problems,” said the Secretary General of the CBCI.
He also appealed to the state government to expedite the process of recruitment of teachers in government aided minority schools of Jharkhand.
