Due to the continued uncertainly surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, a music festival that was due to take place later this year has made the decision to postpone until next year. The Carlisle Country Music Festival, was due to take place on May 14, and said to draw together some of the best country music performers in the UK. The new dates for the festival, which was due to take place at the Crown and Mitre Hotel, are May 13 to 15 2022. Organiser and festival director Nick Westgarth explained there were many reasons for postponing the event this year and the actual decision was left as late as possible.
