Hanoi â Vietnam logged 16 more COVID-19 cases in the past six hours to 12:00 May 14, all of them were detected in sealed off areas, according to the Ministry of Health.
Of the new infections, seven were in Bac Ninh, three in the Tan Trieu facility of the Vietnam s National Cancer Hospital, along with two each in Lang Son and Nam Dinh and one each in Thai Binh and Hung Yen.
As of May 14, Vietnam reported a total 1,458 imported cases and 2,298 locally transmitted ones, including 728 infections since April 27.

The number of people downloading and using Bluezone, a locally-made application to track down Covid-19, skyrocketed in Vietnam after the first several days of the latest Covid outbreak.
Bluezone is considered the most effective technology solution for Covid-19 prevention and control in Vietnam at present.
By 5pm, May 11, 32 million downloads of Bluezone apps had been recorded, according to statistics from the Department of Informatics (Ministry of Information and Communications). The number of Bluezone downloads increased by 131,000 compared to May 10, and 1.3 million compared to April 28, the start of the current Covid-19 wave.

VOV.VN - Vietnam is well controlling the source of coronavirus infection with no new outbreaks detected across the country, while 33 community cases in quarantine have been confirmed during the past 12 hours.

The new local infections were recorded in Vinh Phuc (13), Da Nang (7), Bac Giang (6), Hanoi (5) including four at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Lang Son (1) and Nam Dinh (1), according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).
Among them, 21 were detected at quarantine facilities, 8 in lockdown areas, and 4 at lockdown hospitals.
No new outbreaks have been documented in Vietnam, the MoH said in its 06.00hrs update.

The Health Ministry announced Wednesday morning 33 more domestic Covid-19 patients in areas that have already been isolated.
Of the new cases, four patients were detected at Hanoi s National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, which has been locked down as a Covid hotspot. The northern Vinh Phuc Province recorded 13 cases, Da Nang seven, the northern province of Bac Giang six, while Hanoi and Lang Son and Nam Dinh provinces recorded one each.
