ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The Southwest Georgia Car Show made its way to the Good Life City for the first time on Saturday.
Several Powersports cars could be seen on display at the Exchange Club Fair Grounds and a few were for sale.
Along with the car display, guests could participate in a swap meet and an arts and craft festival.
All proceeds from this year’s event will benefit child abuse prevention and related programs.

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Ducky Wall made his mark in the Good Life City and across Georgia early on in his career.
Wall spent 26 years with WALB before retiring, was the head golf pro at Doublegate Country Club, and loved Georgia football as much as the next guy.
Ducky passed away Wednesday night. His infectious personality is what one of his best friends cherishes most.
Dee Matthews had been a long-time friend of Ducky’s.

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - At Albany Tech Thursday afternoon, the Lady Titans basketball team celebrated four athletes making the move to the next level.
Forward Shamya Loman is taking her talents to Talladega College.
Guard Tatanyi Morris is headed to Allen University.
Center Willeshia Kemp, joined everyone on Zoom, she is off to the University of Fort Lauderdale. Fellow center Esmeralda Castillo is staying in the Good Life City, as she will be taking her talents to Albany State.

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - On Monday, the city of Albany welcomed several new businesses to the city, cutting the ribbon for Vita-Fuse Albany, Sugar Mamaâs Bakery, Rebel Dolls and Bottoms Up.
The city of Albany is working to bring in more jobs to help those in need.
Owners said they didnât let the pandemic stop them from overcoming the odds.
âItâs always encouraging when you can create jobs that are not present in your community. It is now present in the 229. So, of course, if it does well, then you expand and when you expand you have more clinics, you have more jobs and you have more management layers and more nurses, so thatâs what we are excited about,â said Milan Patel, partner of the new business development.
