ALBANY (WALB) - Four Georgia mass COVID-19 vaccination sites, including one in the Good Life City, are set to open next week, according to GEMA and Homeland Security.
Starting Monday, Feb. 22, the mass vaccination site will be at the Albany Georgia Forestry Site, 2910 Newton Rd. The Albany Forestry Post is actually on South Slappey Blvd., just south of Oakridge Drive. (Source: Google Maps)

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit (ADDU) wants your help getting drugs out of the Good Life City after a
âThis is one step into taking back what is considered the Good Life City,â Ryan Ward, ADDU commander, said.

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A former gubernatorial candidate for the Peach State stopped in the Good Life City on Wednesday.
Stacey Abrams came to give voters in Dougherty County a final push to get out and vote early.

ALBANY â The Good Life City has a Grinch with an apparent ear for music.
Alex Reshetnichenko, the lead violinist for both the Albany and Valdosta Symphony Orchestras, who has been teaching orchestra in Albany for more than two decades, has been missing a classic violin, its case and two bows since mid-July. Reshetnichenko describes the missing instrument as âa work of Alfredo Contino, 1920.â He adds that also missing is âa nice violin case with the violin and two bows: one bow is a work of Hermann Richard Pfretzschner, another one is a Coda carbon fiber bow.â
Reshetnichenko said that someone may have the violin who is not aware of its ownership, since there is no contact information in the missing case. He said he is willing to offer a $5,000 reward for the return of the instrument.

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - About 100 kids received toys over the weekend that to the Albany4Kids Toy Drive that was held Sunday.
The organizer said roughly 250 toys were donated to the toy drive, and most of them were given out during the event that was hosted at Studio 82 on West Broad Avenue Sunday.
Greg Bouyer, the organizer who started the event this year, hopes to make it an annual tradition.
