COVID-19 cases reach 30,046 in Khulna 149 KHULNA, Apr 21, 2021 (BSS) –The number of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases rapidly reached 30,046 today due to continuous rise in the daily number of lethal virus infections in recent weeks in all ten districts of the division. “The number of COVID-19 patients climbed to 30,046 with 184 new infections diagnosed after testing 250 samples on Wednesday at three COVID-19 Laboratories in the division,” Assistant Director (Health) of Khulna division Dr. Ferdousi Akhter told BSS this noon. “The daily infections rate crossed the 12 percent mark on March 24 last for the first time since December 26 last year and continues to rise in the division,” she said.

COVID-19 cases reach 29,862 in Khulna 148 KHULNA, April 20, 2021 (BSS) – The number of COVID-19 cases has surged to 29,862 today due to continuous rise in the daily number of the lethal virus infections in recent weeks in all ten districts of the division. “The number of patients climbed to 29,862 with 219 new infections reported after testing 350 samples on Tuesday at three COVID-19 laboratories in the division,” Assistant Director (Health) of Khulna division Dr. Ferdousi Akhter told BSS this noon. The health officials said the newly detected COVID-19 patients are 95 in Jashore, 75 in Khulna, 16 in Kushtia, eight in Bagerhat , seven in Jhenaidah, five in Narail four each in Chuadanga and Magura, two in Meherpur and three in Satkhira district in the division.

Ansar also retained the top spot in the medal tally as they earned a total of 262 medals including 125 gold medals, 80 silver medals and 57 bronze medals. Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Navy are respectively in second and third place with earning 107 and 63 gold medals respectively. On Friday, nine new national records were made in the men’s and women’s categories on the fourth and last day of weightlifting at the Mymensingh district gymnasium.
