Two arrested in connection with assault on Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) â Two people have been arrested in connection with an assault outside of the Raymart on Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls.
Niagara Falls officials say the assault occurred around 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday at the Raymart located at 925 Pine Avenue. Officers responded for the report of a fight and a 34-year-old man was found laying on the ground near the gas pumps, motionless and unresponsive. The man was transported to ECMC where he was listed in stable condition with multiple facial fractures.

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. A 21-year-old Niagara Falls resident is facing murder charges for a homicide that happened earlier this year on Linwood Avenue in the City of Niagara Falls.
According to a City of Niagara Falls spokesperson, Rodney Barnes-Staley was arrested and charged with one count of murder in the second-degree and one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the second-degree for the homicide of Demetrius Gray.
Gray was killed on May 30 in the 1600 block of Linwood Avenue.
Barnes-Staley was arraigned in Niagara Falls City Court. A Niagara Falls City spokesperson says Barnes-Staley is being remanded until his next court appearance on July 23.
