Her semen was preserved at a fertility centre in Anand. Dayara, 25, become Gujarat s first transwoman doctor after she earned an MBBS degree from a Russian university. She remembers how she yearned to wear a saree and use lipstick in her younger years just like her mother and sister did. However, she kept her inner woman hidden as she didn t want to confuse or alarm her family.
