Snowfalls to 300 metres and slippery road conditions were forecast across Tasmania on Sunday, with police issuing alerts and some roads being closed. About 10:30pm, the Central Highland s brigade received a call about a group of people and their dogs who were stranded in their cars in the state s icy Great Lakes area, near Lake Verona.
