GREENSBORO, N.C. (Seminoles.com) – A career performance from redshirt junior Bianca Jackson could not fend off a 15-point comeback from Syracuse as the fourth-seeded Florida State women’s basketball team (10-8) fell at the buzzer to the fifth-seeded Orange (14-7), 68-67, in the quarterfinals of the ACC Women’s Tournament on Friday afternoon.
“It had to be done on the defensive end and we just couldn’t get it done defensively in terms of stopping them around the rim,” Interim Head Coach Brooke Wyckoff said following the loss. “[Syracuse] hit a couple key three-pointers when they needed to.”
Jackson was the heart and soul of this game for the Noles, recording a career-high 25 points on 10-of-17 shooting from the field, along with leading the team with seven assists. It is also her 14th double figure game, which leads the team this season.

(Seminoles.com) – A late scoring run in the fourth quarter helped push the Florida State women’s basketball team (10-7, 9-7) to a win over Wake Forest (11-11, 8-10), 59-51, in its home finale on Sunday afternoon at the Donald L. Tucker Center. This is the Seminoles’ ninth win over the Demon Deacons in their last 10 matchups and their fifth consecutive win against them at home.
The big win by FSU gives it another Top-50 NET win as it continues to put itself in prime position for an NCAA Tournament berth.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) - A dominant first half from redshirt junior Bianca Jackson helped pave the way for the Florida State women's basketball team (7-5, 6-5) to secure a 67-52 win against Syracuse (11-5, 8-5) in their first game back at the Donald L. Tucker Center since Jan. 21.
"I could not be more excited and proud of how we responded tonight," interim head coach Brooke Wyckoff said. "Our girls stepped up to the challenge tonight against a really good Syracuse team. We had some players step up and they did it together as a team."
This is the Noles' first of four straight home games after playing four straight games on the road. The Seminoles win tonight also breaks a three-game skid against the Orange that dates back to Jan. 19, 2017.
