Worcester Community Trust supports victims of domestic violence as well as children in need. Ruth Heywood who is the CEO said: “We are pleased to receive money to support the work we do and that particular amount will be allocated for supporting more enhanced services to those most at risk and most vulnerable and supporting play schemes. “We know the long term impact on children as well as families from the pandemic.” Worcester Municipal Charities held a virtual meeting of trustees on January 27, where it was decided to award the trust £38,480.00. Other organisations to receive monies included Citizens Advice Worcester with £173,381.00 and Shopmobility with £7,000.00, providing electric scooters for the disabled.
