A KIDDERMINSTER animal sanctuary is one of three Worcestershire charities to receive a £1,000 donation as part of an awards scheme. For the third year running, Ecclesiastical Insurance Group gave away £1million to charities through its Movement for Good awards. Members of the public were invited to nominate causes close to their hearts, with 500 awards of £1,000 available for donation. West Mercia Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre, Goodheart Animal Sanctuaries in Kidderminster and Worcester Community Trust are the local charities set to benefit from the money, following overwhelming public support in the county. More than 2,000 kind-hearted residents voted for charities across the county.
