HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu Police arrested a woman for attempted murder.
HPD records show 23-year-old Amanda Robinson was taken into custody yesterday on Doane Street in the Schofield Barracks area.
Authorities said her arrest is tied to an abuse case in Wahiawa dating back to December, however additional details were limited. Information on the victim was also unavailable.
Honolulu police are handling the investigation. HPD says Robinson has not yet been charged, but remains in custody.
Information sought on van driver who approached teenage girl
Police are seeking help identifying a man who approached a teenage girl on Beechwood Street Tuesday, March 9.
The male, white and believed to be between 30 and 40 years old, approached the girl in a white cargo van. Police said that the girl reported being offered a ride by the man.
The girl stated to police that the man drove away upon her refusal. The incident occurred on the 400 block of Beechwood Street in the area of Doane Street near the gate to Wompatuck State Park.
Police stated that while no crime was committed, they are interested in identifying the man. A call for information has been put out through the Department Facebook page and an investigation is ongoing.

At least three people were killed when a tornado hit Brunswick County, North Carolina, just after midnight Tuesday, also leaving at least 10 people injured, authorities said.
More than 150 million people were under a winter storm warning, winter weather advisory or ice storm warning in 25 states, stretching over 2,000 miles from southern Texas to northern Maine, the National Weather Service said.
The storm was forecast to continue to cover parts of the Midwest and Northeast with heavy snow into Tuesday morning before receding later in the day.
