+ May 28, 2021 MORE booths of illegal small town lottery (STL) in Cebu City were dismantled and confiscated by the Prevention, Restoration, Order, Beautification and Enhancement (Probe) team more than a week since the operation started.
Probe chief Raquel Arce said as of May 27, 2021, a total of 54 booths of illegal STL were confiscated and dismantled.
Arce said most of the STL booths were closed and abandoned.
“So far, we have not seen stalls that are still operational. These booths were closed; it’s already abandoned,” said Arce.
Probe has been conducting road clearing operations to free public roads and sidewalks from any obstruction.

In an order on May 13, 2021, the IATF has directed the PCSO to ensure strict compliance to health and safety protocols and the observance of minimum public health standards.
In a separate resolution, the IATF has allowed the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) to conduct in-person assessments for household service workers (HSWs) in places under MECQ.
However, the IATF clarified that the conduct of the activity is subject to conditions, such as said in-person assessments shall be held only in TESDA Training Institutions and in-person assessments remain prohibited in private assessment centers.

This was disclosed by PCSO General Manager Royina Garma when she met local chief executives in Cebu Friday.
Garma explained to the town mayors, vice mayors, and officials from various government agencies the effects of the continued operations of unauthorized STL operators.
“Proceeds of PCSO go to charity. We can donate more if we can earn more and these illegal STL operators are affecting the proceeds of PCSO games,” said Garma.
Garma, a retired police colonel who once served as chief of the Cebu City Police Office and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Central Visayas (CIDG), said STL operations have become rampant in the cities of Cebu and Mandaue.

PCSO said its Medical Access Program has assisted 4,306 beneficiaries from April 5 to April 8. The amount of aid disbursed totals P29,068,323.81.
Of the amount, P6.96 million was given to Northern and Central Luzon for 953 beneficiaries; P6.17 million to Southern Tagalog and Bicol region for 1,162 beneficiaries; P6.15 million to Visayas for 959 recipients; P5.59 million to the National Capital Region (NCR) for 608 recipients; and P4.1 million to Mindanao for 624 beneficiaries.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, it said the delivery of its medical services nationwide continue from Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
