A group of retired bureaucrats from Uttar Pradesh Thursday appealed to farmers protesting against the three central farm reform laws to end their agitation saying the laws are in their interest. The retired bureaucrats, including former UP Chief Secretary Atul Gupta, also appealed to the farmers not to be misled by any misinformation campaign unleashed by some vested interests against the farm laws .

Lucknow, March 11 : A number of former bureaucrats in Uttar Pradesh have now appealed to the protesting farmers to end their agitation as the new farm laws are in their interest.
This comes a day after some former bureaucrats had announced their support to the farmers agitation.
In a signed statement, the former bureaucrats have called upon farmers not to get misled by the misinformation campaign unleashed by some vested interests against the farm laws and to try to understand the motive of the government behind the laws and the benefits it has for the farmers on their own.

NEW DELHI: Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh has lodged a complaint against a few people at Lucknow s Gomti Nagar police station in Uttar Pradesh. The actor in his complaint alleged a threat to his life and demanded action from the police.
A popular Bhojpuri actor, Singh alleged that some people have been posting objectionable videos on social media with an intention to tarnish his image.
It is to be noted that Pawan Singh, who originally hails from Bihar s Ara, has been in Lucknow since February 20 where he has been shooting for a film.
