Eminent scientist Roddam Narasimha no more

Roddam Narasimha passed away on Monday.
He is survived by his wife and daughter. Narasimha, 87, breathed his last at
MS Ramaiah hospital where he was admitted on December 6. The hospital authorities said that his death was not related to covid-19. He has been unwell for a while.
Born in 1933, Narasimha was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 2013 for his contribution to science and engineering.
Narasimha was an alumnus of Mysore University and
the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). At IISc, Narasimha was with the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Chairman of the department between 1983-1984 and then moved on to take over the directorship of NAL.
