Congress says ‘prepared for elections’ Senior Congress leader KC Venugopal on Friday said that his party is prepared for the elections, while laying out the alliances the Congress is forging in the key states that are headed for polls. “The Congress is totally prepared for the elections. We will appeal to the people for change, for good governance. The alliance for Assam has been finalised. The alliance in Kerala and West Bengal is also almost finalised. In Tamil Nadu, talks are underway on alliance,” Venugopal said. Rahul Gandhi in his speech praised Kerala. But this does not mean he criticised north India. For Congress, India is one.
