On Jan. 22, a letter from the Ohio Secretary of State’s Office informed the board it was being placed under administrative oversight.
“For the past several months, our office held informal weekly calls with the Harrison County Board of Elections to help improve operations. Unfortunately, these informal, intermediate steps were not enough to turn around the board’s trajectory,” the letter states.
