ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - Alaska’s News Source is honored to receive three regional Edward R Murrow Awards for work completed in 2020.
Presented by The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA), the recognition is among the most prestigious honors for news organizations working in broadcast and digital platforms. “Award recipients demonstrate the spirit of excellence that Murrow set as a standard for the profession of broadcast and digital journalism,” according to the RTDNA’s website.

KYUK has received regional and statewide awards for journalism produced in 2020. KYUK won three 2020 Regional Edward R. Murrow awards and six 2020 statewide Alaska Press Club awards.
The Murrow Awards are awarded by the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA), and are considered to be among the most respected journalism awards in the world. The RTDNA describes the awards as the embodiment of the values, principles and standards set forth by Edward R. Murrow, a journalism pioneer who set the standards for the highest quality of broadcast journalism. KYUK will be advancing to the National Murrow award competition.
