Arthur elected as new IFA dairy chairman

April 16, 2021 1:13 pm The Irish Farmers’ Association (IFA) has elected Stephen Arthur as the new IFA National Dairy Committee, the association has confirmed. Taking to Twitter to reveal the result, the organisation confirmed that Stephen Arthur has been appointed as successor to previous chairman Tom Phelan. In the tweet, the IFA said: “Stephen Arthur has been elected chairman of the IFA Dairy Committee. He succeeds Tom Phelan and takes up the role immediately, having been acting chairman. Hanrahan re-elected as IFA beef vice-chair

April 16, 2021 4:19 pm Declan Hanrahan has been re-elected as vice-chairman of the Irish Farmers’ Association (IFA) National Livestock Committee, the organisation has confirmed. In an announcement this afternoon (Friday, April 16), the association revealed the results of two elections. Hanrahan was elected vice-chairman last August after the then vice-chair, Brendan Golden, became the chairperson replacing Angus Woods at the time, and was up for re-election. He is a beef and suckler farmer from Co Laois. The counting of postal ballots took place in the Irish Farm Centre today. The other election saw Stephen Arthur elected chairman of the IFA National Dairy Committee.
