The Ephrata lawyer was found with an AR-15 rifle, two handguns, “a large quantity of ammunition” (including 30 rounds of .380 bullets), rope, gloves, and about $5,000 in several rolls of $50 bills, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

Diener’s Restaurant owner Linda Bishop is retiring on April 30 after a 21-year run. She’s passing the torch to a new owner who will operate the 80-year-old establishment at 135 W. Main St. under the same name. “It’s been an honor of a lifetime to get to spend every morning with you at Diener’s,” Bishop said. “My family and I have poured our hearts into this business and we will miss serving you and sharing our lives together over coffee and breakfast.”

PA Paper Thanks NFL Prospect s Mother for Choosing Life, Enraging Sports Journo

One liberal sports writer is foaming at the mouth over a Pennsylvania newspaper article celebrating the life of one their student athletes turned soon-to-be NFL player and praising his mother for choosing not to abort him. Penn Live (the website for Harrisburg s Patriot News)  published a piece on April 20 about the achievements of All-American Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons who’s on track to become an NFL first round draft pick. Not only did the paper recognize Parsons’ considerable athletic accomplishments, their story was written from the perspective of gratitude for the choice Micah’s mother made in not aborting him.
