Telangana: Only 50% students will be allowed in colleges By Sakina Fatima|   Published: 30th January 2021 4:17 pm IST Hyderabad: In view of the COVID-19 concerns, the Telangana government has decided to allow only 50 per cent of students in classrooms of degree, PG and other professional courses, starting from February 1. State education minister P. Sabita Indra Reddy held a review meeting with officials of the higher education department on Friday.  She ordered the officers to prepare a class-wise special action plan for every college and execute it. Following the guidelines of COVID-19, she asked them to conduct physical classes and constantly inspect government and private educational institutions.

‘Govt. planning to conduct admission to MBA, MCA courses without waiting’ Telangana High Court on Monday directed the State government to take a call on the announcement of results of degree backlog examinations within 48 hours. Otherwise, the court would not hesitate to pass adverse orders and impose costs on the government departments concerned, the HC said. A bench of Chief Justice Hima Kohli and Justice A. Abhishek Reddy was hearing a PIL petition filed by Telangana Republican Party stating that the government was planning to conduct admissions to MBA and MCA programmes even as results of degree backlog exams were not yet announced. The petitioner said this action of the government would deprive students of seats in those courses since the government was soon conducting TSICET-2020 spot admissions while degree backlog exam results were scheduled for last week of the month.

A senior official of TSCHE informed that in the current year, the TS EAMCET is likely to be held in the first or second week of July, Telangana Today reported. Multiple sessions The entrance test for both Engineering and Agricultural & Medical Streams will be conducted in multiple sessions.
