Oberlin police said Tray Porter was found in a parking lot in the 200 block of South Park Street on Jan. 31. Officers responded to the area after several people called 911 and found Porter laying in the snow. “There was screaming and he’s not conscious, he’s laying on the ground not moving,” said one caller.

Olmsted Falls man shot to death in driveway of Oberlin home, records say Kaylee Remington, cleveland.com LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio A 21-year-old man died Monday after being shot Sunday afternoon in the driveway of an Oberlin home, police say. Tray Porter of Olmsted Falls died in the shooting that happened just after 4 p.m. on South Park Street near Locust Street, according to an Oberlin police report. Oberlin police received several 911 calls from unknown people saying a man was lying in a driveway after someone shot him. Officers responded and found people standing around the unconscious man surrounded by blood-stained snow, the report says. Police learned Porter suffered a gunshot wound in his leg near his groin, the report says.

Two separate crimes within minutes kept Kalamazoo police busy Tuesday night

Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (Photo courtesy of John McNeill) KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) Kalamazoo police responded to two crimes within a half hour Tuesday evening. The first one was a shooting reported around 9:35 p.m. near the intersection of South Park Street and Balch Street. Officers located a victim, a 32-year-old from Portage, with a gunshot wound who was taken to a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. No suspect has been located in this case. Shortly later, just before 10:00 p.m., Kalamazoo officers responded to reports of an armed robbery in the 3000 block of South Westnedge. Officers located three victims who said they were robbed of several items at gun point. One of the victims was injured saying they were struck in the head with a firearm during the incident. The suspects then fled northbound on South Westnedge in a gray sedan.
