OBERLIN, Ohio (WOIO) - Two suspects fled the scene on foot as a 20-year-old man was injured after a shooting, Oberlin Police Department said.
Police said they responded to the residence at the 200 block of South Park Street about a shooting victim shortly after 4 Sunday afternoon. Officers located the victim with a gunshot wound to the upper left thigh outside of the residence. Responding officers rendered first aid to the victim on the scene. The victim was initially taken by ambulance to Mercy Allen Hospital and subsequently taken to Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center f

For most economic development planning, African Americans, Latinos and poor people are on the outside looking in, says Anthony, president and CEO of the Urban League of Greater Madison.
“We’re not the ones creating the vision. We’re not the ones included in the deals,” says Anthony, who has a doctorate in urban planning. “We’re not the ones that benefit.”

ADAMS, N.Y. (WWNY) - Some residents of South Park Street in Adams had to leave their homes early Sunday morning.
It happened around 2:30 AM when a live power line came down onto a metal bridge truss, sparking a fire in a gas line attached to it.
Philip Janusheske lives on neighboring Spring Street and saw everything unfold.
“I was watching TV and such, and the power suddenly went out after a loud bang. And there were flames shooting out from underneath the bridge, I would have to guess, roughly six to eight feet,” said Janusheske.
KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) Wednesday, the City of Kalamazoo issued a Boil Water Advisory for Pierce Avenue and some surrounding areas.
According to officials, the advisory has been issued due to a repair of a water main leak. The affected areas are listed as follows:
Pierce Avenue â From South Westnedge Avenue (western boundary) to South Rose Street (eastern boundary), both sides of street. Does NOT include northwest and southwest corners of Pierce Avenue and South Rose Street.
Garfield Avenue â Only the southwest corner of Garfield Avenue and South Park Street.
South Park Street â Includes the following: the northwest, southwest, and southeast corners of South Park Street and Pierce Avenue.
