MERIDEN â City health officials have zeroed in on Meridenâs most socially vulnerable neighborhoods and residents as their push to deliver more COVID-19 vaccines into peopleâs arms continues amid slowed public demand.
More than 56% of all COVID-19 vaccine-eligible residents in Meriden have now received at least one dose of the vaccine, according to state health data.Â

Police: Man charged with selling cocaine, fleeing from officer in Wallingford

WALLINGFORD â A New Haven man was charged earlier this month after police said he sold cocaine to an informant and crashed into a vehicle while fleeing from an officer in October.Â
Nikko Flak, 20, of 63 Oak Ridge Drive, New Haven, was charged Dec. 11 with two counts of sale of narcotics, reckless driving, weapon in a motor vehicle, criminal weapon possession and first-degree reckless endangerment. Â
In October, a confidential informant worked with police to make two purchases of cocaine from Flak, according to Flakâs arrest warrant. Â
