Meet 73-year-old Jyothi Navada, a senior artist of Mysuru, who has spent most of her life drawing pictures and has been a source of inspiration for young artists.

A resident of Vijayanagar, Jyothi originally hails from Mangaluru, but now she is settled in Mysuru. Jyothi worked as visual artist for 35 years in Mumbai Doordarshan Kendra, and has drawn hundreds of drawings of Trident (Trishula) emerging from earth and ocean, Mumbai City, Lord Ganesha and children stories. Her drawings for production of animation video are really eye-catching.

According to statement, a large number of patients who had come from different corners of Kashmir Valley were examined. Poor and deserving patients who are registered with the society were provided free anti-cancer drugs as a matter of routine. Other supportive drugs required for G.I treatments were provided to all patients free of cost.
Endoscopy Screening of around 42 patients and Ultrasonography of 35 patients was also conducted free of cost on this occasion.
Besides, many discussions and awareness sessions about this dreaded disease were held on All India Radio Srinagar and Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar. Wide publicity was also given in all the leading dailies of the Valley.

Guwahati: Members of Producers Council, an association of producers of films and TV staged a protest on Friday outside the Doordarshan Kendra, Guwahati premises. The protest was staged demanding special funds amounting to Rs 100 crore for creation of new content for DD Assam, the 24x7 satellite channel which was launched recently.
Legal Advisor to Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Shantanu Bharali met the protesting members of Producers Council and said that their issues and concerns would be conveyed to the Chief Minister and to the Central government as Doordarshan is part of Prasar Bharati, a body formed by an Act of Parliament.
