The Louisiana State Police is asking for help locating a missing 3-year-old who is thought to be in imminent danger.
Ashton Michel Willis was last seen Sunday on Second Street in Basile, which is near the Acadia-Vermilion parishes line.
He is a bi-racial boy with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes, state police said in a release. He is about 3 feet tall and weighs about 40 pounds. Ashton was last seen wearing a t-shirt and diaper.
The toddler was last seen with his non-custodial mother, Ashley Nicole Bang, who is also known as Ashley Willis. She is a 32-year-old white woman with brown hair and brown eyes, according to state police. She is about 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs about 115 pounds.

BASILE - Louisiana State Police say a child who had been missing and thought to be in imminent danger has been located and is safe.
State Police issued a missing/endangered child alert Wednesday afternoon for three-year-old Ashton Michael Willis, and the boy has now been found by authorities.
