CLEBURNE COUNTY A single-vehicle crash on I-20 in East Alabama killed a Boaz man on Tuesday, August 3.
David Edwards died after the 2006 Chevy Silverado he was driving veered from the roadway and struck a tree. Edwards was pronounced dead at the scene according to a news release by Trooper Justin O’Neal of the Alabama Law Encorcement Agency.
“The crash occurred on Interstate 20 easbound near the 207 mile marker, approximately three miles east of … Heflin,” O’Neal stated.
No further details are available at this time.

1 killed in single-vehicle crash in Shelby County

Alabama State Troopers identified the victim as James Plant. He was 44 and lived in Wilsonville.
The crash happened at 7:40 p.m. on Shelby County 55, about 10 miles southwest of Chelsea. Trooper Justin O’Neal said Plant was driving a 2017 Audi A4 that left the road and struck a concrete culvert.
Troopers are investigating.
