Central Michigan quarterback John Keller has been released from the hospital nearly one month after he was shot in the chest during a gathering at an off-campus apartment complex in the early-morning hours of Saturday, April 24.

Keller was in the intensive care unit following the shooting, and he was also on a ventilator for seven days, per ESPN s Tom VanHaaren.

A suspect has been arrested in the shooting of two Central Michigan University students at an off-campus apartment in Mt. Pleasant last weekend.
The Isabella County Sheriff’s Office says Kenneth Thomas of Detroit is in custody in connection with the shooting. Thomas was arrested on a 10-count felony.
Through an investigation, police determined that Thomas and several other people from the Detroit area came visited Mt. Pleasant Friday to socialize at local establishments. Thomas and others had heard of an afterhours party at Deerfield Village Apartments in Union Township.
Police say a fight broke out at the party and that Thomas retrieved a firearm from a vehicle and began to fire without regard for human life into the gathering in the apartment, striking and injuring two CMU students.

According to the Isabella County Sheriffs office, a suspect is still on the loose after shooting two men at the Deerfield Village Apartments near Central Michigan University.
Around 1 am on Saturday, there was a loud party happening in the apartment complex, witnesses say.
When authorities arrived on the scene, they say they found two men who were shot.
Both men were taken to local hospitals, where one of the victims is listed in serious condition and the other in stable condition, according to police.
