New Mexico Fire Marshal’s Office: ‘Bosque’ Arsonist Probe Underway Into 18 Intentionally Set Wildland Fires STATE News: SANTA FE – The New Mexico State Fire Marshal’s Office / Fire Investigations Bureau, in conjunction with the Valencia County Sheriff’s Office, Valencia County Fire Department and New Mexico State Police, are conducting an active Arson Investigation within the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District (Bosque).  Starting around March 2020, approximately 18 intentionally set wildland fires within the Bosque, in the Valencia County District have caused destruction and have killed and/or injured wildlife in the area.  These fires also have caused a tremendous amount of damage to the natural habitat, environment, and ecosystem to include endangering the lives of the general public who use this area as a place for recreation. Lloyd has risen up the law enforcement ladder from police officer to chief investigator at the State Attorney s Office. [Brad McClenny/Special to The Guardian] Community involvement has been a constant during the law enforcement career of Darry Lloyd, who on May 7 was sworn in as chief investigator for the Eighth Judicial Circuit s State Attorney s Office. Lloyd, 49, grew up in Gardenia Gardens apartments in the Duval neighborhood in northeast Gainesville.He joined the Gainesville Police Department s Explorers program in 1987 at the age of 14 and has steadily progressed through different levels of law enforcement, including graduating in 2017 from the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia.

April 16, 2021 A vehicle fire Thursday night in the Quintette Park is under investigation as arson. The SUV was fully involved in fire when the Cantonment Station of Escambia Fire Rescue arrived on scene. A gas can was visible just a few feet away from the burned out vehicle. The fire is under investigation by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Bureau of Fire, Arson & Explosives Investigations. Suspicious Device Found in Arson Investigation of Gaithersburg House Fire A Gaithersburg house fire is being investigated as an arson case after a suspicious device that may have been used to cause the fire was found. The fire occurred early morning on April 1 at 16 Marquis Drive in Gaithersburg. Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service (MCFRS) spokesperson Pete Piringer says emergency responders reported to the home around 1 a.m. The fire was at an advanced stage upon arrival with substantial damage to the roof of the home. The house was unoccupied at the time. Residents of the home include two adults, two kids, and a dog. The family remains displaced.
