Mashpee Public Library Maintains Contactless Pickup Program

Brown paper bags filled with books and movies line the space of the Mashpee Public Library’s event room. Like most other businesses, libraries have found a way to pivot their services to be more accommodating for COVID-19 restrictions. The Mashpee Public Library is offering contactless pickup of books and materials from the entire CLAMS library catalogue. Borrowers can order for pickup online or via telephone or email. Once an order is placed, the library staff put the books and movies in paper bags and place them in the event room in alphabetical order based on the borrower’s last name. The library alerts the borrower that the order is ready, and the borrower is then free to come pick it up from the event room.
