Key Highlights

New Delhi: The overall air quality in Delhi improved to the ‘moderate’ category on Tuesday morning as the city’s Air Quality Index (AQI) dropped to 173, according to the Ministry of Earth Science s air quality monitor, System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR). The city had recorded an AQI of 269, in the ‘poor’ category, the previous morning.
According to the data released by the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi ranked third among all states and Union territories with the most contaminated sites, Odisha topped the list with 23 contaminated sites, followed by Uttar Pradesh (21) and Delhi (11), according to the data.
