Key Highlights
The concentrations of major polluting particles such as PM10 and PM2.5 stood at 181 and 78 respectively.
Anand Vihar, Bawana, Dwarka Sector 8, Jahangirpuri, Punjabi Bagh and RK Puram recorded 'poor' air quality.
The air pollution level in Mundka stood in the 'very poor' zone.
New Delhi: The quality of air in the national capital improved significantly on Sunday morning as the city’s overall Air Quality Index (AQI) dropped to 159 (‘moderate’ category) due to high surface winds that dispersed atmospheric pollutants, according to the Ministry of Earth Science's air quality monitor, System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR). The city had recorded an AQI of 239 (‘poor’ category) the previous morning.
