Hitting upon a novel idea, Sanghani led Amreli District Central Cooperative Bank decided to offer rebates in the accrued interests on loans taken by the shareholders associated with hundreds of small co-op societies in this case. “A brilliant way to fulfil both the RBI norms and help farmers!”, cheered co-operators.

The induction of two top men in NCUI is making a difference to the apex body of co-ops in the country. To begin with, Chairman Dileep Sanghani and Chief Executive Sudhir Mahajan have been successful in getting the pending funds released from the Ministry, no mean feat.
“Yes, the fund has come and it has eased us (NCUI) on many fronts”, said Mahajan talking to this correspondent at the NCUI headquarters last week. Mahajan informed that about Rs 14 crore has come which includes the fund for the current year as well as the remaining dues from the last year.

Creating entrepreneurs among women; NCUI launches program
NCCE of NCUI held a training program on Entrepreneurship for creating skill among women recently. The program was inaugurated by the newly elected Chairman of NCUI Dileep Sanghani, informs a press release.
In his inaugural remarks on the occasion, terming socioeconomic advancement of women the country’s achievement. Sanghani said with the growth of Agro based micro enterprises in rural areas through the cooperative system, the income of farmers would automatically increase, he remarked.
The trained women have the power to create a new workforce in their respective areas. The NCUI will help in the capacity building of women, promised the NCUI President.
