When it came time for Chris Laurie to decide where he was going to play basketball, the six-foot- five inch player opted for familiarity and the UNBC Timberwolves. “I know the guys. I know the coach and the academics are here too,” Laurie said. The 22-year-old player made the decision to stay at UNBC late last week after wrestling with an offer from Trinity Western University in Langley. UNBC won out because it offered a combination of things Laurie was looking for. The student was originally studying kinesiology and was half way through the program when he met with some people already working in the field.
