“I want to create focus groups of students, teachers, parents and community members to get some more insight,” Keelean told The Sentinel earlier this month. “It’s important for me, coming in as an outsider to a district that is well established with things in place, to listen and learn about the great work that is going on in the district.”
Summer reading events added
The district recently announced additional dates for its pop-in reading event series taking place this summer. Each event invites students prekindergarten through third grade and their siblings to stop by for a literacy activity, a free book, sidewalk chalk and bubbles.
